Kindergarteners Program
Kindergarten Prep (4 - 5 Years)

Academics, Confidence, and Lifelong Success

Our Kindergarteners Program serves children aged 4 to 5 years, providing a comprehensive academic prep curriculum that prepares children for the transition to elementary school. We combine rigorous early reading, writing, mathematics, and STEM lessons with creative play to keep learning fun and active.

In this final stage at Deckon Family Childcare, children master phonetic spelling, early writing, addition, subtraction, and independent critical thinking. We encourage students to lead presentations, ask complex questions, and collaborate on advanced group tasks, building the confidence they need to succeed in school.

Our program is aligned with local school district kindergarten standards. We work closely with parents to ensure each child meets the necessary academic and emotional benchmarks, making their transition to kindergarten smooth, positive, and successful.

Kindergarten Prep Guidelines & Flow

Our schedule simulates a structured elementary school classroom day while maintaining developmental age-appropriate breaks and recess:

  • Structured reading sessions focusing on sight words and early readers.
  • Mathematics stations including simple arithmetic, patterns, and measurement.
  • Advanced STEM projects (building bridges, exploring simple circuits, seed planting).
  • Independent journal writing and creative spelling exercises.
  • Team sports and group coordination games to build athletic and team skills.
